Umleiter (de: diverter) is a flexible suspension lamp constructed for room situations where the electricity connection isn't where you actually want the lamp to be hanging. When a dinning table is a meter off the ceiling’s power supply point or you simply want to be flexible in moving furniture and with it the light source. Making use of a simple mechanism it helps you to get light in the most direct way to where needed. Being 360° turnable, it can be moved in all three dimensions and may be positioned anywhere within its one-meter radius reaching distance. With one end resting on the ceiling, the suspension is held in position with a steel wire that can be adjusted to alter its angle. Height and distance work in dependency and can be preset. Additionally the hand spun metal lamp shade can be freely adjusted in height. Through gravity the cable interlocks itself in position by the weight of the lamp shade.
